Consuming Fear.

Let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe; for indeed our God is a consuming fire // Hebrews 12:29

At this station, we will be praying over things that we need to give up to God. Take a piece of paper and write down something you need to leave behind you. Think about things that you are fearful of – being betrayed, being left alone, not being liked, etc. Once you are done, take your paper to the bonfire pit and throw the paper into the fire.   Remember that God consumes our fears and tells us to find strength and comfort in our faith in God.

Supplies

  1. Bonfire Pit, either with a fire going or empty.
  2. If fire pit is empty, use long-stemmed lighters to light the papers and safely place them in the pit.
  3. Notebooks of Paper
  4. Writing Utensils
