Prayer Poses.

Be still and know that I am God // Psalm 46:10

Our bodies are a masterpiece that God has created. Our body language is often a reflection of how we are feeling. At this station, take some time to try different body poses as you invite God into prayer with you. Here are a few suggestions to try as you pray:

  1. Stand still with your hands in the air
  2. Sit down with your legs crossed, and rest your arms on your legs with your palms facing up.
  3. Lay down on your back.
  4. Sit with your legs stretched out in front of you, and lay your body over your legs with your arms comfortably falling wherever they land.

As you mediate, think about how your body is feeling. What do you notice about your body as you pray? How does your body language impact your prayer time?
