God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations” // Genesis 9:12
In the story of Noah’s ark, God asks Noah to take a leap of faith and commit to live his life according to God’s will. He tells Noah of a sign that will guarantee God is watching over him, following him wherever he goes. All Noah has to do is commit to loving God back. At this station, pray about how you will commit to follow God this year. Maybe it is making a commitment to God to attend church regularly. Maybe it is committing to God that you will try show kindness to others when they mistreat you. Each of us are different, and each of us show God we love God in our own way.
Before you are different stains for the wood. Each person will paint a portion as a commitment to growing in faith. With wood, the stains will blend into the wood, but also together. They will appear as one unique section, but all part of the same piece. Just as each part is different, we are different. We are each a part of God. We are not the same as one another. We may seem similar, we may seem totally different. We are not the same, but we are all one.
