Light Box.

Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven // Matthew 5:16

At this station, think about a way that you can shine a light to others. Is there a simple way to share God’s love at school? Can you participate in an outreach program at your church? Can you help a neighbor who is in need? When you have prayed with God about a way to shine God’s light, find an empty space on one of the sheets/sides of the box, and write it down. The light inside the box will shine out our gifts we are giving to others.

Supplies

  1. Wooden Framed Box – you will need to build the box! Imagine a 3 sides to this. Build a large square side, about 8 ft by 8 ft. Staple a white bed-sheet to the wooden frames to create one side of the box. The three sides placed together standing up will create an opening in the back where people can walk in and write on the box from the inside or outside of the box. Some source of light can be place in the middle of the box so the gifts can be “shined out”.
  2. 3 queen size white bed sheets.
  3. Sharpies

World Map.

As I have loved you, love one another // John 13:34

Each day, we tend to focus our prayer on things in our personal lives. Whether that is for ourselves or others around us that we feel are in need of prayer. It is easy to forget that there is a World of God’s people that are in need of prayer. At this station, take some time to look over the map of the world, and find a place you feel called to pray for. This can be a city, a country, a continent, or the entire world itself. Take a sticker and place it on that location after you are done praying.

Supplies

  1. World Map
  2. Stickers
  3. If you wish, various magazines or books that talk about different parts of the world.

Prayer Requests.

Cast you cares on the Lord and he will sustain you // Psalm 55:22

Leave a prayer request – On the corkboard, you may share a prayer request so that others may pray for you! Write down your prayer request on an index card, and pin it to the corkboard. You may leave your name or keep it anonymous.

Take a prayer request – Take one of the index cards with you to a prayer station, and use that request as inspiration for your time in prayer. Or, you may take the prayer request with you to continue to use in your prayer life throughout the week.

Supplies

  1. CorkBoard.
  2. Index Cards
  3. Writing Utensils

**This would be great for a one night event, but you could also have this set up in a Sunday school room in your church to have available at all times.

Servant Heart.

Speak Lord, your servant is listening // 1 Samuel 3:9

God is always calling us to show God’s love to others. What are ways that you can do that? Take a moment and pray about how you may be in service for God. Will you promise to show a stranger kindness? Will you help out a neighbor? Will you try to attend a mission trip this year? Service to others is not a one-time thing, it is a daily commitment. Think about the small ways you can change your daily routines to change someone else’s life.

Take a piece of cloth, write out your commitment, and drape it over the arms of the wooden cross.

Supplies

  1. A large wooden cross, any size that you think, but picture 4 ft or bigger.
  2. Linen Fabric, cut into about 7 in. pieces.
  3. Sharpie Markers

When I remember you in my prayers, I always thank my God // Philemon 1:4

Thankful Lists

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever // Psalm 107:2

Take a piece of notebook paper, and make a list of everything in your life you are thankful for. What makes you happy? What brings you joy? Who provides for you? What are your talents? Make a list of everything that comes to mind. This can be as simply as listing your favorite food, to being thankful for your best friend. When you are done, count how many items you have and recognize the many gifts God has given you.
